Got blues? Hi, I'm Kate, lover of blues and folk music. While there's a long history of great blues music, and I'm relatively new to it, I just love that raw sound and am always trying to learn more about it. I tend to be drawn towards the newer Chicago-style blues, though. Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Muddy Waters, Taj Mahal, Tab Benoit, Joe Bonamassa, Indigenous, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd are some favorites.

I'm also a fan of modern folk and folk/rock - Francis Dunnery, Richard Thompson, Mike Doughty, Beth Orton, Ani DiFranco, Bonnie Prince Billy, Dar Williams, Nick Drake, Willy Mason, Ray LaMontagne, Chris Whitley, Duncan Sheik, Tori Amos, Joan Osborne, Ryan Adams, Pete Yorn and Sam Roberts are some favorites.

Aside from my music, I'm also interested in nature/environmental issues, books (I'm a librarian), pop science, politics, etc. I also look vegetarian cooking, and though I'm a vegetarian, you don't have to be
