Small Venues a favorite! My first concert experience - I was 13 or 14, I believe. I saw Stephen Bishop at the "old" Universal Amphitheatre (it was outdoors then). That doesn't nearly describe the music I like - and I while I love going to concerts, smaller venues nowadays are preferred (not much into the "crush" of crowds as I was when I was a young thing). I used to sing for a Country/Western band years ago so, of course, that is a sentimental favorite. Plus, I like some of the newer stuff too. My favorites to listen to, and have on my trusty iPod, is classic rock, 60s folk and pop, oldies, R&B, country, blues, blues rock, singer/songwriter and some I don't quite know how to define these days. Music faves can range from Keith Urban or Reba McIntyre to Led Zeppelin, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Scorpions. Or Carly Simon, James Taylor, Loggins & Messina, Simon & Garfunkel. Also, Zach Brown Band, Santana, Rush, Earth Wind & Fire, Tracy Chapman, Jack Johnson, Michael Buble, Steely Dan, Heart, Melissa Etheridge. I mean, it runs the gamut, pretty much. I'm always finding something to new to like (and sometimes dislike) about music but when it's something that speaks to me, it sticks.
