Violist seeking a musician Watch out world! I am undergoing a personal renaissance in my late 50’s and have never felt better! I am finally excelling at the thing I love most, which is playing the viola. I am also rekindling many old passions, such as poetry, art, biking, dancing. And I am redefining some not so old hobbies such as gourmet cooking, orchid growing, alpine and perennial gardening, and sailing. While rediscovering my known self, I am also not afraid to try new things. In November, I found myself pounding the pavement and canvassing for Admiral Joe Sestak. During the fall, I joined a tennis clinic. But, true to character, I then decided to put tennis on hold until the spring when I can actually play the game and improve my skills.

I think I enjoy being around younger people so much because I am young at heart. Nothing gives me more pleasure than discovering the magical properties of my round rock with my neighbor’s kids. My nephew’s enthusiasm for politics has motivated me to check out the ‘Daily Dish.’

I am interested in exploring the world, both literally and figuratively. On my honeymoon, the chosen destination was the Galapagos Islands and the Ecuadorian Amazon. My favorite city is Paris, France, where my mother spent several of her childhood years. My favorite place to be is near water, especially the Atlantic.

Well, to present the total ‘me’ package, I would remiss if I did not mention that my profession was computer programming and software design. I am an animal lover. I also should point out that life has dealt me some hard blows. I’m not bitter, just reflective.

What kind of man am I seeking? Preferably a musician, however, I might consider someone who is wildly passionate about classical music. Ideally, you would like the smell of salt air and sailing. You enjoy eating out and a good bottle of wine; museums; nature; the city; exploring; doing something; doing nothing. Hopefully, I can learn a lot from you and we can discover new things together.
