born an old school punk-rocker...grew to be an eclectic, live show junkie with a bad case of wander----. my idea of a great weekend is to pack up the car and drive 500 miles to a music festival. but i feel most at home in a small venue seeing some of the obscure punk bands i love.
some examples of music i enjoy: Amon Tobin (trip-hop), Clash (punk/reggae/funk), The Mars Volta (progressive/latin/rock), Cold War Kids (blues/rock), Van Hunt (r&b/rock/soul), Husker Du (hardcore/punk), The Smiths (new wave/rock), One Self (hiphop/indie), Muse (rock/alternative)...it's hard to pick a singular favorite...or even the top 20.
i collect vinyl, old and new.
in addition, i've got a thing for old soul, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Bettye LaVette...and a few contemporary as well, Erykah Badu, John Legend, Van Hunt.
