Looking for jazz musicians and jazz lovers My ideal would be a multi-instrumentalist, multi-vocalist small jazz combo. Bass, drums, an instrument that makes chords (piano and/or guitar), and at least one instrument that can solo such as guitar, piano, and/or horn(s).

I compose, sing, and play bass, acoustic guitar, and can four-or-five voice any chord on the piano, with two years of formal music theory training and complete knowledge of jazz harmony. Would like to mostly play bass. Love that walking bass going boom-boom on the quarter notes. But would also love to spell on vocals, guitar, piano, and drums.

Have a vision of a contralto (soprano also works) in a black cocktail dress singing the standards. (Would love to have one as my S.O.)

Mostly like the post-war bebop and West Coast "cool jazz" (1945-1964), and Broadway standards from anytime after the early 1920s.

Influences are Brubeck (and his rhythm section), Desmond, Miles, Chet Baker, Art Pepper, Trane, Richard Rodgers, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Sinatra, Ella, Peggy Lee, Julie London.

Favorite tunes are So What, Take Five, Tokyo Traffic, Minor Yours, Take Ten.

I like to ballroom dance (Swing, Cha-Cha, Foxtrot) and sing karaoke. I like to cook.

I speak Spanish and Italian, tourist French, and high school German. I've lived four years in Sicily and two years in Mexico City and am working on my magnum opus (a work of crime fiction) based on my experiences there.
