Elijahlove23 "I love music", said Marvin Gaye, who is my favorite male R&B singer. I also love Luther Vandross, Prince, R. Kelly and Brian McNight. But, none of them compare to Marvin Gaye. I know I'm young, but R&B from the 60's, 70's and 80's is the type of music I was raised on. My favortie female singers are Lauryn Hill and Erika Badu. The majority of their music is the soundtrack of my life. "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" is my favorite album ever! R&B isn't my favorite type of music. Jazz is. From the 4th grade through the 12th grade I was in the jazz band ( also the concert and marching bands ). I learned to play several different insturments. My favorite jazz musician is Miles Davis and Lena Horne. I do not like any of todays's rap music. There's no real significance at all. Biggie, 2 Pac, Jay-Z, Nas and Rakim are my favorite male rappers and Lauryn Hill, Lil' Kim, Foxy Brown, McLyte and DaBrat are my my favorite female rappers. But, Biggie and Lauryn Hill are the greatest rappers ever! Neo soul artists like Jill Scott, Music, Angie Stone and Floetry are so good. My favorite concert was B.B. King at Grant Park in Chicago. It was my first concert. I was young, maybe 9 or 10. My granddad took me to my very first Jazz Fest... good times.
