I am a songwriter, musician, americana, gypsy jazz I work in the arts--musician, singer-songwriter, gypsy jazz guitarist, professor, published fiction and non-fiction writer, cartoonist for a number of mags, newspapers, card companies, with a passion for nature/wildlife/environmental causes. I am also a children's author/composer (Emmy winner for my work with PBS; author with Random House). I love those full of passion with big adventerous hearts , who love to explore, who are also intellectual and well-read. I like those who are playful and compassionate, both toward humans and animals. I enjoy protean, imaginative, quirky, spontaneous people and love conversing with those who can dig into everything from neuroscience to poetry--evolutionary theory to entomology, lots of synaptic connections fired up--creating sublime electric storms that make the hair on our heads stand up as we do the cosmic dance--waltzing toward some line in the sand we have drawn for each other. Thinking big, dreaming of more, and then doing it, while giving each other space enough to get the real work done.
