I have been obsessed with music in theory, performance, listening, composition, spirituality, physically, and all forms since I can remember. My grandfather gave me a little Casio keyboard when I was three years of age. I have been drawn ever since.
Me! - I recently graduated from FSU - School of Music's classical guitar program. I do freelance work - teach / perform, as well as have other "real jobs". I have some other side music projects that are slowly growing which I am very excited about.
I love all kinds of music. ALL!... video game music...
That does not mean that I don't like some songs, because there are bad songs in all genres. Instruments played: guitar, bass (electric or upright), mandolin, banjo, piano, percussion/kit, accordion, guzheng, sing,... native flutes
- I'm actually not good at any of those, but I can get by with your "common" listener.
As much fun as music is for me, I also take it very serious because I respect it. It is the most powerful of all art forms. It is my meditation for sanity. It is the only thing that makes sense in this world any more. I plan to make a career out of being a musician and I am looking for other people that have similar perspectives.
I am attempting this site because I have had difficulties trying to explain why I think music is so beneficial for the world and myself. I feel deep down that is what I was put on the planet to do.
I figure perhaps another musician may be able understand how my crazy mind works... I hope so.
