Hello,
Rather than give a dull bio, I'll hip you to some of the music that's really grabbed me, and you'll get some idea of who I am. In increasing order of significance, then:
RUN, do not walk, to YouTube and enter "Johnny Winter Live at Rockpalast, 1979." Holy crow. A stone professional at the very top of his game. For one song, he and his bassist switch instruments. It's a brilliant bit of showmanship, and you won't be surprised that Mr. Winter acquits himself quite well.
Next up is mashups. Like the good little postmodernist I am, I just love it when someone marries the lyrics from one song to the music of another. There's a guy named Bill McClintock who does astonishing work. For my money, the best I ever heard is Katrina and the Wave's "Walking on Sunshine" blended with...wait for it...Slayer's "Chemical Warfare." Just SO wrong -- "Chemical warfare, and don't it feel good" -- and yet, possibly the best blend of male and female energies ever.
Finally, there's bagrock. The bagpipes and an electric guitar are like peanut butter and chocolate. Bands like Celtica and Prydein create sounds that are as unforgettable as they are powerful.
