I'm a pretty easy-going, open-minded guy, looking for anyone who's into good music. I try to listen to a variety, but I'm not really into most contemporary country, R&B, or rap. I'm open to anything that's good, I just don't really seek out any of these genres. I have lots of favorites, but a few at the top of list are Dave Matthews Band (my summers are spent traveling across the country for their shows), The Beatles, Talking Heads, My Morning Jacket, Soul Coughing, Mike Doughty, Modest Mouse, and Tim Reynolds/TR3.

A little more personal info: I'm 27 and I have my BS in psychology and sociology, but I'm about to go back to school to get a degree in professional physics. I'm a casual guitar player, and I have most of your typical twentysomething interests: concerts, sports, camping, self-improvement, general broadening of my horizons. I love to learn and have the occasional deep conversation. I'm from - and currently in - Alabama, but I'm much more of a hippie than a "good ol' boy".

The thing I love most about music is how it captures the full range of human emotions. There's always a song or a piece of music for your mood, but more than that, music can change your mood, make you think, comfort you, embolden you, or move you in any number of other ways. It has a unique and beautiful way of internalizing itself in a person. Truly one of the great passions of my life.
