My name's Cameron Olson, I'm in the process of becoming a professional fingerstyle acoustic guitarist. I'm attending LA Musical Academy this August. I've been playing guitar overall since I was 14, until about 2-3 years ago I was strictly an electric guitarist specializing in techinical metal, but after seeing the Andy McKee video "Drifting" on youtube I immediately changed my style. I play solo fingerstyle acoustic guitar, meaning my music is simply me and a guitar with no singing. I let my guitar do the singing, I incorporate bass lines, melody, lead and percussion into my playing, somewhat of a one man band lol. I'm a total smartass and just want to share my life with someone who can really appreciate my music and passion and share it with me. Anyways let's get this out of the way...I have acrylic nails on my right hand (I'm a right handed guitarist) shaped as guitar picks, stricly for acoustic fingerstyle, and YES it's hilariously awkward sitting in a nail salon getting them done while the Korean women laugh at me haha. Anyways here's a requirement to talk to me, you need to actually take the time to listen to MY music. If youn talk to me and you ask what I'm doing and say playing guitar and you say "oh wow you play guitar!" I will immediately stop talking to you. So here's what you should do, search "Cameron Olson" on youtube and watch either of the 3 of my original compositions - Epiphany, Letting Go, Sunday Evening (I recommend "Epiphany", it'll be the first video that pops up).
