tune it or die I am interested in playing music with (and meeting) people who are interested in traditional/folk/ethnic styles of music, including people who only play instruments, those who only sing, and those who are interested in both. I play mostly stringed instruments, some very well (strictly by ear). I can sing, and I sing best when singing with others (melody or harmony). I get on best of all with folks who, while staying within the general area of traditional/folk/ethnic music, do not limit themselves to just one genre (although that is an understandable and acceptable approach). I am especially interested in unusual scales, modes and time signatures (as in, for example, bulgarian music) but I also get a lot of satisfaction out of something as elemental as sawing my way through an old time fiddle tune. Since I am single, and this site is designed for connecting people who are "looking for someone special", I have to say that a big problem for me is that I am so into music that I do not think a relationship with a non musician would work. So, this profile, in this space, may be a really good idea. I welcome contact with anyone who thinks they may share enough in common with me musically to try playing some tunes, or even just discussing music.
